Thyroidectomy can be defined as the surgical removal of the thyroid gland and is the most common form of surgical treatment for thyroid cancer

The surgery carried out based on evidence based methodologies and a thorough examination of the patient. This involves an ultrasound guide Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) which is utilized for accurate diagnosis. Ultrasound guided FNAC is a diagnostic procedure that involves inserting a small needle into a potentially malignant mass to extract cells, which are then examined under a microscope. It is used to obtain a clear image of soft tissues that do not show up well on x-rays.

To avoid damaging vital structures such as the recurrent laryngeal nerve, which is required for voice and breathing, our medical team uses a nerve stimulating technology which aids the surgeon in preventing any potential injuries. 

Dr. Chandrashekhar Rawal is an ENT Specialist with more than fourteen years of experience in Medical Management and Administration, Emergency Medicine, ICU, and Otology Surgery. Dr Chandrashekhar completed his MD from MIMSR Medical College (MIT) India and Masters of Surgery ENT from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals in India. Dr. Chandrashekar has served as an ENT specialist at District Hospital, Aundh Pune and as an ENT Specialist at Rawal ENT Hospital, Pune.

Dr. Rajesh A. Valand is Specialized in E.N.T with special clinical interests in Head and Neck Cancer, Parotidectomy, Thyroidectomy, Snoring and Sleep Apnea surgeries, Pinna Reconstruction. He earned his MBBS from Bombay University, Mumbai, India, and completed his Master of Surgery (MS-ENT) from Bombay University, Mumbai, India. Dr. Rajesh served as an E.N.T Consultant at BSES Municipal General Hospital for over 16 years.
