Tree Top Hospital is pleased to announce Q&A Live Session with Dr. Rukhsana Ahmed Consultant Child Nutritionist on 20^th July 2022 at 1630hrs.

In this Q&A live session, Dr. Rukhsana will discuss the topic of Childhood Obesity.  Childhood obesity is a serious medical condition that affects children and adolescents. It's especially troubling because extra kilograms frequently set children on the path to health problems that were once considered adult problems — diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.

Dr. Rukhsana Ahmed specializes in Pediatrics with over 30 years of international experience in pediatrics and expertise in Tropical Childhood, Infectious Diseases, and Child Nutrition. She completed her MMBS from the University of Punjab, Pakistan, and Post-Graduate Pediatrics at Sydney Children’s Hospital affiliated with the University of New South Wales, Australia.

She further obtained her Master’s and Ph.D. in infectious disease and epidemiology at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK. She is the Co-Chair of the Maldivian Technical Advisory Group for Immunization (MTAGI) and a member of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and the American Society of Tropical Medicine Hygiene. She has authored several publications and is the founder member of Clinesia, a contract research organization in Indonesia.
